The special education teacher will conduct a special education preschool classroom for children with visual impairments, autism spectrum disorders, multiple impairments, and severe medical issues, developing individualized instruction based on ieps. This role requires maintaining positive communication with parents and staff, acting as the primary contact between home and school, and collaborating with therapists to implement student-Specific adaptations.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a master's degree in special education as a teacher of the visually impaired or as a special education teacher from an accredited program, along with a valid new york state teachers license in one of those specializations. Experience working with children with disabilities is preferred for this temporary full-Time position.
