Teacher of the Visually Impaired

The role involves planning and conducting iep assessments for students, determining appropriate instructional objectives based on evaluations, and instructing students across core curriculum areas using new york state pre-K standards. Responsibilities also include regular communication with families, monitoring student development, and ensuring consumer safety during all activities.

Candidates must possess a new york state license as a teacher of the visually impaired and maintain current certification. A master's degree in special education or a tvi certificate is required, with two years of in-Classroom experience preferred but not mandatory.
