Ex Ed Educational Assistant

The primary role involves providing teaching support and services under the direction of a licensed special education teacher to implement individual education programs for students with disabilities in various settings. Responsibilities include assisting with educational needs, data collection, physical assistance like toileting and feeding, and covering classes during teacher absences.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged along with basic technology skills; additionally, they must meet one of three educational benchmarks: 48 semester hours, an associate’s degree or higher, or a passing score on the praxis for parapro exam. One year of experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
