Temporary Regular Teacher (9-12 Biology)

The teacher is responsible for the instruction, progress, and discipline of assigned pupils, which includes developing written lesson plans, establishing positive learning expectations, and evaluating student progress while maintaining accurate records. Duties also involve implementing contemporary teaching methodologies, promoting anti-Vandalism programs, establishing classroom rules, and communicating with parents and administrators regarding student performance and conduct.

Candidates must have successfully completed all student teaching requirements and coursework necessary to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate(S) issued by the illinois state board of education, such as the professional educator license (Pel) or educator license with stipulations (Els). Required knowledge includes subject matter consistent with certification, contemporary teaching practices, and classroom management techniques, along with the ability to modify instruction and work effectively with all stakeholders.
