Temporary Regular Teacher (9-12 Math)

The teacher is responsible for the instruction, progress, and discipline of assigned pupils, which includes developing written lesson plans and evaluating student achievement against program objectives. Essential functions also involve implementing contemporary teaching methods, maintaining classroom rules consistent with the uniform discipline code, and communicating with parents and administrators regarding student progress.

Candidates must have successfully completed all student teaching requirements and coursework necessary to obtain the appropriate illinois state board of education teaching certificate, such as the pel or els license endorsed for this position. Required knowledge includes subject matter, contemporary teaching practices, and behavior management techniques, along with the ability to modify instruction and work effectively with stakeholders.
