Job description

Position Purpose Head Start Teacher has the primary responsibility to promote the social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical development of each child in a safe and supervised educational environment. The Head Start Teacher must involve parents in every aspect of the program, working with them to establish both long and short term goals that will assure the necessary readiness outcomes needed for school success. The Head Start Teacher assures that the classroom curriculum adheres to research based, sound child development and early childhood educational principles. (This is a 10 month position August-June)

Minimum Qualifications

Baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education Baccalaureate degree other than Early Childhood Education with at least 18 hours in Early Childhood Education Bilingual Spanish/English preferred Must have the ability to work at any center regardless of location Must be certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment Must obtain a physical and TB skin test, must pass all criminal history background checks and E-Verify
