  • Compensation $21.00 -$24.00/hour Part-time, Hourly Summary Are you passionate about working with infants & toddlers, their parents, education, and love spending time in the water?
  • Premier Aquatics is looking for a fun, energetic, and experienced early childhood development professional to join our team as a Parent & Me / Adaptive Swim Instructor!
  • Our Parent and Me program helps children ages 4 months to 36 months hit important developmental milestones while learning to swim.
  • In this role, instructors may also work with children with disabilities and adaptive learning needs, helping create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging aquatic experience for every family.

  • What You’ll Do Lead engaging Parent and Me classes As an instructor, you'll teach swim lessons designed for infants and toddlers, combining early education and child development milestones with fun, interactive water activities.
  • Follow our set curriculum while keeping classes exciting, educational, and adaptable to varying developmental and sensory needs.
  • Provide inclusive instruction Support swimmers with disabilities, developmental differences, or adaptive learning needs through patient, individualized instruction and positive parent communication to help every child succeed in the water.
  • Ensure safety comes first Supervise and safeguard all participants during group and private lessons, and on the pool deck.
  • Make sure everyone follows safety rules so learning and education are fun and safe!
  • Communicate like a pro Share important updates with your supervisor quickly and clearly.
  • You'll also need to maintain open, positive communication with parents, offering feedback on their child’s progress and educational journey.
  • Be a customer service champion Keep our families happy by providing excellent service, answering questions, and creating a welcoming atmosphere where both parents and children feel supported in their educational experience.
  • Keep things tidy Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the swim programs to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Support your team Build great relationships with fellow employees and instructors, working together to meet Premier’s educational goals.
  • Stay sharp Attend quarterly in-service training programs to enhance your skills and continue your own education as an instructor.
  • What You Bring: 2+ years of experience in child development or related education fields.
  • 4+ years of working with children aged 0-3 years.
  • Comfortable adapting teaching styles to support children with varying developmental and learning needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a StarGuard Elite Basic Life Support certification.
  • Bonus Points If You Have: Experience working with children with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, sensory sensitivities, or adaptive learning needs.
  • Previous aquatics or instructor experience.
  • A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification.
  • Physical Requirements: Be ready to teach for up to 15 hours a week and interact with children.
  • Occasionally, you may need to lift a child or swim lesson equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  • The pool you will be working at is indoors and is heated to 92 degrees year-round.
