The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing students' needs and implementing individualized therapy goals within a classroom integration model. This includes supervising COTA staff, managing IEP documentation, and applying ABA strategies to support students with autism.
Candidates must be a certified OTR in Arizona with a Bachelor's or Master's degree and a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card. Preference is given to those with at least two years of school-based experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Under the supervision and direction of the Campus Director of Special Education, the OT responsibilities include: ● Assessment and implementation of students' occupational therapy needs ● All record-keeping related to each student assigned to the therapist ● Supervision of COTA staff ● Engage in data-driven instruction ● Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies
● Assess students to identify eligibility and IEP needs ● Supervise, mentor, and support COTA; train COTAs and classroom staff to implement goals identified on student IEPs related to: fine motor skills life skills/training psychosocial adaptations sensory processing/adaptations visual motor skills ● Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions ● Support the delivery of services in a classroom integration model ● Communicate effectively and proactively with students and families ● Responsible for paperwork compliance with data collections relating to IEP goals and Student Digital Portfolios ● Maintain timely and accurate Medicaid Billing ● Accountability for growth and proficiency in IEP goals ● Participate in annual and ongoing staff training ● Write OT goals and progress monitoring data for students' IEPs ● Attend IEP/MET meetings for students with OT services

● Experience delivering services in a school setting in a classroom integration model is preferred ● Ability to approach situations with optimism and perseverance ● Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills ● Minimum of two years OT experience in a school setting preferred ● Experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred ● Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment.
