Deliver rigorous English Language and Literature instruction to students in grades 6-10 within the IB Middle Years Programme framework. Design inquiry-driven curricula, assess student progress, and lead advisory responsibilities to foster academic and personal growth.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in English or Education and at least three years of secondary teaching experience. Preference is given to candidates with a Master's degree and IB MYP training or certification.
Carolina Preparatory Academy (Carolina Prep) seeks a Middle Years Programme (MYP) English Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year beginning August 2026. Under the general direction of the Director of Middle & Upper School, the ideal candidate will provide engaging and rigorous instruction in English Language and Literature to students in grades 6–10 within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme framework. The MYP English Teacher will inspire students to become thoughtful readers, effective communicators, and critical thinkers while fostering academic excellence, creativity, and personal growth in a student-centered learning environment.
