  • Instruct fitness courses such as aerobics, yoga, spinning, and kick- Boxing offered to general student population in student athletic centers during the academic year.
  • These are separate from the classes offered through the physical education department for course credit and are scheduled based on interest, with each class lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Be Bold.
  • Work Performed Teach the correct fitness methods depending on the class offered.
  • Plan classes around the skill levels of the participants.
  • Make sure that the classroom and equipment are in working order.
  • Notify the Center Director if maintenance is needed or if equipment needs to be ordered.
  • Lead fitness classes in exercises and/or instruct personal training clients.
  • Monitor the well-being of all participants.
  • Encourage participants to continue with exercises and make healthy choices.
  • Enforce all fitness facility policies, rules and regulations.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
  • Exercise regularly to maintain fitness level.
  • Complete records and reports as needed.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
