SchoolHouse Staffing is hiring a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in grades K–8 at a partner school in Chicago, IL. This is an in-person, full-time role for a school-based SLP who wants to deliver high-quality therapy, drive student communication outcomes, and play a key part in the school's tiered support system. You'll manage a caseload of approximately 45 students, delivering IEP and 504 service minutes, leading the speech-language components of every plan, and serving as a member of the school's MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) team. What You'll Do Deliver speech-language therapy services to students in grades K–8, providing the IEP and 504 service minutes as written. Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments to determine eligibility and inform goals. Write all speech-language components of students' IEPs and 504 plans. Serve as case manager and write the entire IEP for speech-only students, including goals, services, and documentation. Attend and actively participate in IEP and 504 meetings. Develop, implement, and progress-monitor speech-language goals; maintain accurate, compliant documentation. Serve as a member of the MTSS team, supporting screening, early intervention, and tiered supports. Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and related-service providers to coordinate care. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and Illinois timelines and requirements. What You'll Need (Required) Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) — required. Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) endorsement — required. Knowledge of IEP/504 development, speech-language evaluation, and special education compliance. Ability to work in person, full-time (40 hours/week) at a Chicago-area campus. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and colleagues. Nice to Have (Preferred) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Prior school-based SLP experience, ideally across K–8. Experience serving as case manager and writing full IEPs for speech-only students. Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and tiered intervention. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
