We are seeking a highly motivated instructor with a strong background in Dental Administrative Assisting to teach Healthcare Administration and Dental Administrative Assistant (DAA) courses. The ideal candidate has recent industry experience, enjoys mentoring future healthcare professionals, and is passionate about preparing students for success in both medical and dental administrative settings.
Roles and Responsibilities
Teach healthcare medical administrative, and dental administrative assistant courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor
Prepare and grade written and practical examinations
Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code
Ensure that the quality and quantity of instruction provided in the classroom are consistent with the stated objectives of our school and industry.
Ensure that the classroom and the school’s atmosphere are conducive to maximum learning and retention of students.
Instructing students during the classroom experience
Administrating Online Courses
Tutoring sessions online and in-person
Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information
Administering final exam (written and/or practical) on the last day of the module
Submitting final course grades before the end of the week after the end term
Other duties as assigned by the department's program chair
Experience
Preferred
Recent professional experience in a Dental Administrative Assistant role or within a dental practice.
Experience with dental scheduling, insurance verification, billing, treatment planning, patient communication, and dental practice management software.
Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience is preferred but not required.
