What you'll do

As an Early Childhood Substitute Teacher, you'll provide a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment while the regular classroom teacher is absent.

Responsibilities

• include:
• Following teacher lesson plans and classroom schedules
• Leading learning activities and supporting small groups
• Supervising students during classroom instruction, lunch, recess, and transitions
• Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment
• Encouraging appropriate behavior using positive classroom management strategies
• Supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development
• Taking attendance and communicating important classroom information with school staff
• Maintaining a safe and organized classroom throughout the school day

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Teaching certification is not required
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to adapt to different classrooms and school environments
• Willingness to complete fingerprinting/background screening
