Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher provides educational assistance to adolescent program participants in a cognitive retraining and educational setting, coordinating carry-Over strategies developed by the clinical team. Essential duties include supervising and assisting in curriculum development and implementation, developing progress evaluation methods, and meeting with parents and students for guidance.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in special education and one year of experience in classroom or tutorial settings, with experience with special populations preferred. Required certification includes meeting all maryland state-Specific regulatory requirements for a professional special education certification in the specified grade levels and discipline.
