Core responsibilities
The teacher will design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with virginia standards of learning and student iep goals, integrating the keys for a big life curriculum and social thinking framework into daily lessons. Responsibilities also include establishing a safe, dignified classroom environment, collecting and analyzing student data, and serving as the case manager for assigned students.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and an active virginia teaching license in special education, preferably with an endorsement in emotional disabilities or special education general curriculum k–12. Required knowledge includes special education law, iep development, behavioral strategies, and the ability to implement data-Driven instruction in a structured setting.
