Day Camp Jr. Counselor- Walnut YMCA Family Location

The primary duties involve supervising children during all assigned activities while maintaining safe and developmentally appropriate childcare practices, including providing daily care and encouraging engagement in classroom activities. Responsibilities also include implementing positive behavior management, planning age-Appropriate activities, and communicating effectively with staff and parents.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old, demonstrate maturity and good judgment, and possess previous camp or group childcare experience, being at least four years older than any child in their care. Successful completion of required background checks and proficiency in active listening, patience, and maintaining classroom discipline are mandatory.
