The Special Education Teacher will deliver high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction to students with disabilities according to their IESP mandates, while also developing engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
Candidates must possess a valid NYS Students with Disabilities certification or NYS Literacy Specialist credential, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, including teaching Mathematics and ELA.
As a Special Education Teacher (SETSS) with Knowledge Road, you will: Offer high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction to students with disabilities, in accordance with their Individualized Education Service Programs (IESP). Ensure fulfillment of each student's weekly IESP mandates and maintain an intervention schedule coordinated with the school timetable. Develop and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain regular family communication with updates on progress and next steps. Document service delivery and student performance in Knowledge Road's system with precise and timely documentation. Create and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to build a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students. Track and evaluate student progress, providing regular updates to families and school-based teams. Attend IESP meetings as required, providing professional insights and recommendations to support
