Specialist, Child Life

This role involves assessing and providing services based on the psychosocial and developmental needs of children and their families, offering education and coping support to reduce stress related to hospitalization. Additionally, the specialist is responsible for training staff and volunteers, and facilitating accredited child life internship and practicum programs.

A bachelor's degree is required, and 1-2 years of experience is preferred, with a master's degree being preferred. Candidates must obtain certified child life specialist status or equivalent within 365 days of hire, with infant massage instructor and recreational therapy certifications being preferred.
