Core responsibilities
The specialist will use best practices to teach individuals with developmental disabilities the necessary skills for independent living, which includes observing interactions and creating prevention and support plans. Responsibilities also involve training staff on plan implementation, preparing progress reports, and actively participating in the inter-Disciplinary team for plan development.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) along with one year of experience in developing behavior support plans and training staff on implementation. A valid driver's license and commitment to community-Based supports for persons with disabilities are also mandatory requirements.
