Core responsibilities
The primary function is to orient and educate all nursing personnel in the nursing center to ensure safe and effective nursing care according to all guidelines and procedures. This includes developing education programs based on staff needs, supervising new employees during orientation, and performing annual competency testing and performance appraisals.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current rn license. Preferred qualifications include a minimum of three years of full-Time clinical experience, two years in long-Term care nursing with one year as an educator, and experience in gerontology and adult learning.
