YMCA Alexandria - Assistant Teacher

The assistant teacher supports the early learning director by helping implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities tailored to the needs, interests, and abilities of young children. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-Being of all children while fostering their social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development in a positive environment.

Candidates must be at least 20 years old and possess a high school diploma or ged, along with current cpr and first aid certifications. A minimum of three years of experience working with children, including one year in a licensed early learning center, is required, along with the ability to pass background checks and provide medical documentation.
