The role involves enabling adults with mental illness to live as independently as possible by assisting with goal achievement, daily living activities, meaningful engagement, socialization, transportation, and medication administration. Responsibilities also include implementing treatment plans to help clients reach goals and manage symptoms, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with coursework towards an associate's or bachelor's degree in relevant fields preferred, alongside previous experience in health and human services. Candidates must possess patience, flexibility, computer proficiency, a valid driver's license with a safe record, and must obtain cpr, first aid, and map certifications.
