Wabanaki Wise Worker - Mi'kmaq

The wabanaki wise worker supports the health and well-Being of wabanaki elders by focusing on fall prevention, safety, and community connection through planning and attending various outreach efforts. Key duties include organizing monthly elder activities, supporting community events like health fairs, and ensuring wabanaki traditions are integrated into all program deliverables.

Candidates need either a university degree or college diploma in a related field plus two years of experience, or four years of relevant experience in public health, health, education, or an elder-Serving profession. Required qualifications include a strong desire to support elders, excellent communication skills, experience organizing cultural events, a valid maine driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and lift fifty pounds.
