The physical therapist assesses patients, develops and implements individualized treatment plans based on evaluations, and provides direct patient care, including advanced physical therapy treatments. Responsibilities also include documenting progress, instructing patients and caregivers, and supervising care performed by assistants and technicians.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor's or graduate degree in physical therapy and a current texas physical therapy license or eligibility via the compact commission, along with basic life support certification. Candidates need at least two years of clinical experience or completion of an accredited residency program, along with the physical capacity for lifting and prolonged standing.
