Core responsibilities
The residential counselor will be a key player in integrating and supporting clients through their recovery journey by providing support consistent with their treatment plan. Responsibilities also include engaging clients, assisting with food preparation and meal supervision, exposure to therapeutic groups, conducting rounds, and occasionally driving clients off-Site.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have at least two years of post-High school education, with a bachelor's in psychology preferred, and ideally one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting. A valid state-Issued driver's license with a safe driving history and strong skills in communication, client relations, service orientation, flexibility, and teamwork are required.
