Veteran Student Services (VSS) Counselor

The veteran student services (Vss) counselor will serve as a school certifying official (Sco), managing department of veterans affairs (Va) education benefit certifications, processing tuition and scheduling calculations, and advocating for students with the va. This role also involves proactive communication with veteran and military-Affiliated students to promote retention and assist with vss event planning and data management.

Candidates must possess an associate's degree and 1-3 years of experience in va benefits processing or a similar field, requiring a high degree of analytical skill to evaluate information affecting student benefits. Essential skills include excellent written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in microsoft office, with occasional availability for evening or saturday events.
