Core responsibilities
The lecturer will be responsible for teaching a three-Credit hour first-Year seminar (Fys) course during the fall 2026 semester, which includes creating the syllabus, grading, and implementing required first-Year experience lessons. Responsibilities also involve attending mandatory faculty trainings and working collaboratively with the assigned peer advocate leader (Pal) while holding required one-On-One meetings with each student.
Requirements summary
Minimum qualifications require applicants to have completed a master’s degree in a relevant field such as higher education or student affairs, along with teaching experience at an accredited higher education institution for at least one semester or 5+ years in k-12. Preferred qualifications include experience teaching in a first-Year experiences program or expertise in women and gender studies and/Or race and ethnicity research.
