The admissions counselor is responsible for providing outreach and admissions services to ensure a steady flow of complete applications for suitable youth entering the job corps program, meeting or exceeding monthly arrival goals. This involves developing strategic outreach plans, conducting recruitment activities, screening applicants based on strict criteria, and assisting accepted youth with enrollment documentation and departure to centers.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess above-Average public speaking, verbal, and written communication skills, along with strong problem-Solving and conflict resolution abilities, and computer literacy in standard office software. A bachelor's degree in a related field (Human services, psychology, education, etc.) is required, or an associate's degree with two additional years of related experience, preferably in a performance-Based environment involving sales or counseling.
