  • Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St.
  • Louis.Job Summary The Seasonal Coach is responsible for leading and developing student-athletes in a manner that supports the mission and values of the Catholic high school.
  • The coach fosters athletic skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and personal growth while promoting a positive and faith-filled environment.
  • The Seasonal Coach serves as a role model for students and upholds the policies, procedures, and expectations of the school and athletic department.Job Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions during the assigned athletic season.
  • Teach sport-specific skills, strategies, and fundamentals appropriate to the age and ability of student-athletes.
  • Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and respect for teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators.
  • Foster an environment that supports the school's Catholic mission and values.
  • Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices, games, and team activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by following established safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the Athletic Director.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, equipment inventories, and other required records.
  • Attend coaches' meetings and complete required trainings and certifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all school policies and applicable athletic association rules and regulations.
  • Model professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior at all times.
  • Job Requirements
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous coaching and/or competitive playing experience in the assigned sport preferred.
  • Knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and safety practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor high school student-athletes.
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
  • Successful completion of all required background screenings and safe environment training.
