EC Teacher - General Curriculum - Interim @ Springfield Elementary

The exceptional children (Ec) teacher is responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (Ieps), designing adaptive lessons, and providing direct special education instruction to help students meet academic, behavioral, and social goals. This role also involves monitoring student progress, maintaining compliance records, and coordinating with caregivers and parents regarding student needs and educational progress.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in special education and hold or be eligible for the special education/General curriculum license (88091). Key abilities include knowledge of exceptional children's laws, instructional methodology, assessing students based on the north carolina standard course of study, and maintaining classroom discipline and safety.
