Youth Mentor - 1st and 2nd Shift

Responsibilities include providing direct supervision and care to male youth in a secure residential setting, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a safe, trauma-Informed, and culturally sensitive environment. Staff must also mediate problems, utilize de-Escalation techniques during crises, reinforce treatment plans, and conduct security checks.

Candidates need a high school diploma/Ged or higher, preferably with experience working with at-Risk or court-Involved adolescents in residential treatment; an associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice may substitute for some experience. Applicants must possess strong interpersonal and crisis management skills, maintain a valid ct driver's license, and be willing to undergo mandatory training, including physical restraint methods.
