Core responsibilities
Responsibilities include collaborating with clinicians to engage youth and families for program admission and transition, reinforcing individual treatment plans, and establishing supportive community connections for youth reintegration. The mentor will also serve as a role model, conduct quality assurance audits, and utilize approved de-Escalation techniques during crises.
Requirements summary
Candidates should ideally possess a bachelor's degree in a human services field or equivalent lived experience, along with experience in residential treatment, mental health crisis intervention, and family engagement. Essential qualities include strong emotional intelligence, cultural competency, and a belief in the potential for change in individuals needing services.
