Core responsibilities
The mental health therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic intervention to individual youth, families, and groups within a school-Based setting, conducting clinical evaluations, assessments, and developing treatment plans. Duties also include leading or co-Leading various groups, providing crisis intervention, and consulting with school staff and parents regarding client progress.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy, along with current maryland licensure as an lmsw, lcsw-C, lgpc, lcpc, lgmft, lcmft, or psych associate. Knowledge of evidence-Based treatment models and bilingual proficiency in english/Spanish are required.
