Swim Lesson Instructor

The instructor is responsible for working in the water to assist in conducting aquatic instruction, providing support and encouragement to help participants learn to swim. This role also involves ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the pool area and adhering to all ymca aquatic safety standards.

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and successfully pass a swimming skills test, while also pursuing necessary certifications including ymca swim lesson instructor, cpr, first aid, oxygen, and lifeguarding. The ymca will cover the cost of required training hours for certification, which leads to increased compensation upon completion.
