Core responsibilities
The direct support professional will train, support, and monitor clients in community and vocational settings while participating in the development of support circles and individualized plans. Key duties include assisting with the development and implementation of client goals and objectives, and participating in annual individualized program plan meetings.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and are preferred to have one year of experience in social services, education, or working with the developmentally disabled population. A minimum of three years of driving experience is required, along with the use of a personal vehicle for client transportation, for which mileage will be reimbursed.
