Requirements vary by omh or ocfs standards, generally requiring a bachelor's degree or high school diploma/Ged, respectively, along with a minimum of four years of direct service experience with children or youth with severe behavioral disturbance. Candidates must obtain cpr and tci trainer certifications shortly after hire and possess a valid nys driver's license.
