Elementary School Special Education Teacher - Norwalk, CT

The special education teacher will implement iep-Mandated instruction within a highly structured classroom, focusing on data collection to guide instruction and developing effective instructional and behavioral management strategies for students with special needs. Responsibilities also include designing instruction for individual and small groups, coordinating iep implementation with general education staff, and maintaining ongoing communication with parents.

Candidates must possess a current special education (165) connecticut teaching certificate and demonstrate knowledge of iep data collection and special education regulations. Preferred qualifications include direct elementary school special education experience, experience with students displaying social/Emotional/Behavioral needs, and current physical management training or cpi certification.
