Job description
Summer 2026 Credit Recovery Coordinator
- Propel’s Credit Recovery for the 2025-2026 school year will take place during Summer 2026 for scholars who have already taken a course during the regular school year and need to recover the credit to remain on track to graduate.
- Propel’s Credit Recovery Coordinator is responsible for preparing the program, learning the Waterfront Learning platform, monitoring Scholar progress toward credit, communicating with parents, and ensuring scholars have what they need to recover their credits.
- This includes coordinating with all educators to ensure supports are in place.
- Regular progress monitoring is required, as are check-in meetings with the Assistant Director of Pupil Services to whom the position reports.
- A report on the success of the program is due upon the program’s completion.
The Coordinator of Credit Recovery is responsible for all aspects of the program.
Job Duties
- Confirm with school-based staff which scholars will need Credit Recovery
- Ensure all scholars are registered for the appropriate credit recovery course(s)
- Arrange systematic and individualized communication with principals, college and career counselors, potential staff, families, and scholars, particularly when agreeing to the conditions of credit recovery
- Communicate weekly updates and progress to share with each high school principal
- Monitor each Scholar’s progress/grades through the course(s)
- Address parent, teacher, or Scholar concerns within 24 hours
- Monitor Site Supervisors’ Communication Log, with scholars, weekly
- Other responsibilities as assigned in service of Propel’s Credit Recovery Program.
Qualifications

- Teacher certification and/or school counselor certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines for turning in Scholar grades, communication logs, and pay sheets
- Excellent organizational skills

Compensation
Coordinator will receive a $3,000 stipend to be paid based on a performance rubric that includes the results, communication, organization, and professionalism.
Eligibility: 220 day or calendar year employee
