The speech language pathologist develops therapeutic relationships with students, participates in intake screening, and develops goals and objectives for individual education programs (Ieps) in consultation with the educational team. Responsibilities also include collecting performance data, consulting on programming, developing curriculum materials, and conducting formal assessments.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in speech pathology, the certificate of clinical competence in speech-Language pathology (Ccc-Slp) from asha or eligibility for the clinical fellowship year, and required massachusetts educator and professional licenses. Experience with individuals on the autism spectrum and knowledge of augmentative communication systems are preferred.
