High School Special Education Teacher

The teacher is responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment, providing instruction, support, and guidance while focusing on students’ individual needs and monitoring progress through the learning management system. Essential duties include ensuring all special education and related services are provided per the iep team, developing compliant documentation, leading meetings, and making necessary accommodations and modifications to lessons and assessments.

Minimum qualifications require a bachelor's degree and an active alabama 6-12 special education teaching certificate, along with the ability to clear a required background check. Other requirements include the ability to collaborate on data interpretation, embrace change, and proficiency in microsoft office suite, along with the capacity to rapidly learn new technologies.
