Middle School Special Education Teacher

The teacher is responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment, providing instruction, support, and guidance while focusing on students’ individual needs and monitoring progress through the learning management system. Essential functions include ensuring all special education and related services are provided per the iep team, developing compliant ieps, facilitating meetings, and making necessary modifications to lessons and assessments.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree and an active alabama 6-12 special education teaching certificate, along with the ability to clear a required background check. Other qualifications involve proficiency in microsoft office suite, strong communication skills, and the ability to rapidly learn new technologies and adapt to change.
