Library Acquisitions Specialist

The library acquisitions specialist is responsible for ordering, processing, maintaining, withdrawing, and troubleshooting all serial materials, including print and electronic journals, magazines, and periodicals. This role involves performing bibliographic searching, managing serial control records, updating access links, resolving access problems, and collaborating on withdrawal requests.

A minimum of four years of general library experience or equivalent education/Experience is required, though a bachelor's degree plus two years of acquisitions experience is preferred. Candidates must possess strong detail orientation, decision-Making skills, technical expertise in ils/Oclc, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
