$60,000–$70,000 annually About the Opportunity AnthroMed Education is partnering with a specialized therapeutic day school in Arlington Heights, IL to welcome a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative special education environment dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning, communication, behavioral, and developmental needs. In this role, you'll support students from Early Childhood through 8th grade with a wide range of exceptionalities, including autism spectrum disorders, cognitive and multiple disabilities, behavioral disorders, physical and health impairments, and communication disorders. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a vital role in helping students develop the communication skills needed to thrive both academically and within their communities. What You'll Do Provide speech and language therapy services to students across Early Childhood through 8th grade Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and contribute to IEP development Collaborate closely with teachers, psychologists, social workers, OTs, PTs, and families Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school and state requirements Support students using a whole-child, team-based approach in a structured learning environment Caseload Details Students range from Early Childhood through 8th grade Classroom assignments and caseloads vary based on student needs Work with students presenting autism, cognitive and multiple disabilities, behavioral disorders, physical/health impairments, and communication disorders Strong multidisciplinary support team including SLPs, psychologists, social workers, OTs, and PTs Multisensory instructional approach within a highly structured and supportive environment Join a school community known for its supportive staff and collaborative culture—an AnthroMed OT who worked within the program this year loved the school and team environment
