Assist the head coach in directing and organizing the men's soccer program. Responsibilities include teaching techniques and tactics, supervising practices and contests, and maintaining team discipline and morale.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Preferred candidates have coaching or playing experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level.
Position Title: Assistant Coach, Men's Soccer
The assistant men's soccer coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with the direction and organization of the Owens Community College men's soccer program. Essential Functions: Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the collegiate sports program. Teaches sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics. Supervises and conducts practices, contests, and transportation safely. Assists the head coach in carrying out their responsibilities. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations. Demonstrative soccer skills. Oral and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with the players and other coaches. Ability to contribute to the overall positive student-athlete experience that includes practice sessions, games and travel.
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
High school/club or equivalent coaching experience preferred. Collegiate coaching experience or collegiate playing experience preferred.
Staff Duty Days: Varies Semester to Semester Work Schedule: Varies depending on practice and game schedule.
