Position Title: Assistant Coach, Men's Soccer

Job Description

The assistant men's soccer coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with the direction and organization of the Owens Community College men's soccer program. Essential Functions: Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the collegiate sports program. Teaches sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics. Supervises and conducts practices, contests, and transportation safely. Assists the head coach in carrying out their responsibilities. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations. Demonstrative soccer skills. Oral and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with the players and other coaches. Ability to contribute to the overall positive student-athlete experience that includes practice sessions, games and travel.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).

Preferred Qualifications

High school/club or equivalent coaching experience preferred. Collegiate coaching experience or collegiate playing experience preferred.

Job Classification

Staff Duty Days: Varies Semester to Semester Work Schedule: Varies depending on practice and game schedule. Grant Funded Position: No - Not Grant Funded FLSA Status: United States of America (Non-Exempt) Pay Basis: Period Activity Pay Hiring Range $14.57-$16.40 Retirement System: SERS - SERS (Retirement System Classification) More than 1,380 full- and part-time employees contribute to Owens' success.
