Day Program Activities Assistant

The assistant will provide direct care and instruction to support adults with intellectual, developmental, or behavioral challenges in achieving goals and building life skills within a day program setting. Responsibilities include assisting small groups with varying needs through direct care and facilitating rehabilitative activities focusing on developmental skills, hygiene, communication, and enrichment activities.

A high school diploma or ged is required, though a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Candidates must be at least 18, pass background checks, and obtain cpr/First aid certification within two weeks and map certification within 150 days if applicable.
