Core responsibilities
The primary duty involves assisting youth in maximizing skill acquisition in activities of daily living through intensive implementation strategies aligned with their person-Centered plan goals, while providing positive behavior supports to reduce challenging behaviors. This includes implementing the scientific principles of behavior analysis (Aba therapy) across all hours and environments to improve quality of life outcomes.
Requirements summary
A minimum requirement is a high school diploma or ged and being at least 21 years old, with successful completion of direct support professional training and registered behavior technician (Rbt) certification required shortly after hire. Candidates must also be capable of transporting children and passing medication administration training.
