Assistant Swim Instructor

This role involves assisting in swim lessons according to ymca guidelines, providing direct leadership, instruction, and motivation to students of all ages to build water confidence. Essential functions also include completing necessary paperwork, ensuring equipment is ready before and after class, and maintaining a positive, respectful atmosphere.

Candidates must be a minimum of 15 years old and ideally possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with current nationally recognized certifications including first aid, bls, and oxygen administration, or be willing to obtain them. The role requires the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and physically perform all required swim instructor skills.
