Substitute Instructor

The substitute instructor acts as an instructor in a regular classroom, presenting designated subject matter while promoting a positive atmosphere to ensure maximum student motivation. This role also involves maintaining classroom discipline to maximize learning, maintaining student personnel folders, and forwarding daily attendance records.

Candidates must generally be certified to teach in the state of virginia, though this requirement may be waived if necessary, provided the candidate pursues certification. Other requirements include passing a drug screen and successfully completing a nationwide criminal background check, with a valid driver’s license preferred.
