YMCA Mental Health Therapist

The mental health therapist provides therapeutic intervention to individual youth, families, and groups, performing bio-Psycho-Social assessments to establish diagnoses and develop treatment plans for a caseload of 19-21 clients. Duties also include leading therapy groups, providing crisis intervention, consulting with school staff and parents, and attending relevant school meetings.

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy, along with current maryland licensure (Lmsw, lcsw-C, lgpc, lcpc, lgmft, lcmft, or psych associate). Required knowledge includes evidence-Based treatment models such as cbt and dbt.
