Preschool Assistant Teacher - Adrian L. Shuford Jr. YMCA

The preschool assistant teacher supports the lead teacher by implementing developmentally appropriate lessons, supervising children, and assisting with daily routines to foster cognitive, social, and emotional growth. This role also involves maintaining a safe classroom environment and communicating with families and staff regarding children's progress.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to implement positive behavior management strategies. A commitment to safety regulations and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. And engage in hands-On activities are also required.
